CONDEMNATION

CONDEMNATION (111) (al-masad)

Number of Verses: 5

In the Name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! (111:1).

May he too perish! (2).

His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him (3).

He will suffer in a blazing fire (4)

and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet s way).

Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre (5).
